Toyota Security has been hacked by a cyber-criminal group to gain access to the personal information stored on NFL players’ secure systems.
According to a report by the Detroit News, the group was able to breach a system that controls the security of the personal data of approximately 4,000 NFL players.
Toyota has since responded to the breach by issuing a statement on the breach.
Toyotas Security team has been notified of the reported security breach involving our product security systems and is actively investigating.
We take this matter very seriously and will work diligently to prevent it from happening again.
As of today, the NFL players have been notified.
